HYDRAS ERT

Despite the crucial role that root structure and physiology play in crop growth and functioning, obtaining relevant information on roots remains a challenge for plant scientists and breeders.

In particular, possibilities to investigate root development and functioning using high-throughput, non-destructive methods in the field have remained challenging. HYDRAS addresses this by using electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) to investigate root system functioning in a non-invasive manner, with high spatial and temporal resolution.
